About these terms

These terms apply when you use Ketchio Tools at ketchio.com. The site is currently a free project maintained by an independent developer. There are no accounts, subscriptions, paid plans or purchases from Ketchio Tools. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the site.

The tools

Ketchio Tools provides browser-based utilities for files such as PDFs, subtitles, lyrics and EPUB books. Most processing happens on your device. Translate an EPUB is different: when you start a translation, the book text is sent directly from your browser to the model provider or compatible endpoint you selected. Read theprivacy policy before using that tool.

Your files and permissions

Only use files that you own or are allowed to process. You remain responsible for the files you select, the instructions you give, and the results you download. Do not use the site to infringe copyright, violate privacy, break the law, distribute malware or interfere with the site or other systems.

Check important results

File conversion can change, omit or damage content. Keep your original file and inspect every result before relying on it. The tools are not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, archival, accessibility or publishing review. Each tool page describes known limits, but the list may not cover every file or failure mode.

Third-party services and charges

The EPUB translator can connect to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenAI-compatible services or an endpoint you enter. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices, availability and prices. You contract with and pay the selected provider, not Ketchio Tools. Ketchio Tools does not receive your API payment and cannot issue a refund for a provider charge.

Availability and warranties

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. No promise is made that a tool will be error-free, preserve every feature of a file, suit a particular purpose or remain available. Tools may be changed, suspended or removed.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ketchio Tools is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profit or third-party charges resulting from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
